Er. This is a dream I had, which is um...really weird...and there is more of it, later, but this is the first part which I actually have typed up. It's totally AU...like, very, very AU. I am not at all sure when or where the setting of this is. It's something like...18th century Europe, maybe? Yeah. Something like that. ^^;; But with magic, of sorts. Aine and Kevan, and Coren appear to be Irish...everyone else is vaguely English.

I have no real solid ideas about most of the pairings yet, but yes. There is a great deal of weirdness. You have been warned. ^_~

Disclaimer: this is an original work of fiction, all characters and locations belong to me. Star Wars universe concept belongs to Lucasfilm.

Notes: This short scene is part of, or perhaps just based on a very long story I'm writing. I'm not sure yet if I'm going to include it in the actual narrative or not, but it came out rather cool and pretty much stands alone so I decided to post it. It does take place more or less in the middle of the story though, so apologies if it's a little confusing. -_-; I may post more eventually if anyone wants to see more of it, but for now this is all there is. You probably can't really tell, but it is set (kind of) in the Star Wars universe, although all the characters are my own. It's not fanfiction in the sense of adding to the official story, since I don't plan to use any official characters and probably no events--I just think it's a fascinating world to play in. ;)

Freeverse poetry, no notes, no warnings really...well, angst I suppose, as usual...

Kagi's notes: I have found that the best way to internalize a language is to use it, and with a lack around here of native Quenya speakers, that means writing. ^_~ So this is some free verse s.o.c. stuff that was originally written in Elvish. The English translations aren't half bad though, with a bit of tweaking. If there are still some odd or choppy bits, it's because the original wasn't English, and the translation's rhythm just doesn't quite work.

And yes, there are some reconstructed and poorly attested words in there, so if anyone wants my notes as to what I used and why, email me for the details...I'll get a liguistic analysis up here eventually. -_-

This the very first thing I ever wrote in Quenya, just some images I was playing around with.

Rating: PG
Warnings: abstract, dark, weird, fantasy/fairytale setting

Written for the November original writing challenge at MYSTCommunity, but heavily influenced by the previous September challenge. My first attempt at writing entirely in present tense; I don't use it very often, but this story just came out that way somehow.

Notes: Weeellll, it's rough. Also it suffers somewhat from the nearly unconscious state of the writer at the late hour in which the last parts of it were written. (o.O Maker, no, it can't be that late, I have to work tomorrow!) And from chopping to keep it to the required length, but it is almost exactly two pages in Word. Oh yes, and if some of the dialogue sounds like The Matrix...well, that just happened. -_- It was completely unintentional. There's a sort of a Star Wars quote in there somewhere too.

Warnings: very abstract, dark, weirdness, depression, s.o.c., confusing POV

Notes: this was, eh, a stream of consciousness thing I wrote awhile back, and I wasn't even actually that depressed at the time, but it certainly reflects my mood at other times. not referring to suicide, actually, but just giving in to a mental and emotional breakdown. Italics represent one point of view, non-italics another side.

This is something I wrote in D'ni for 9-11. It took me nearly a month of nights and weekends, in my nonexistent spare time, but I finally finished it. ^_^ There is an English translation down below.

For more detailed translation notes, I have a line by line analysis up on the Language Lyst, and it'll be here eventually.
